It feels so good to be working in front of an open widow again. That warm fall smell. There’s nothing like it.

Why is it that the thing you weren’t even planning on making becomes the favorite thing you make that day? Maybe it’s a happy accident. Maybe it’s a sign that you should do less planning.

It’s finally Friday, we made it! Phew. I finished harvesting my tiny broomcorn patch this week and for the first time I cut and saved the stalks for plaiting. Look at those colors! These will make some lovely brooms.
